In Maryland, the transportation sector is the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions[1]. Climate change is already beginning to impact the Maryland transportation network, including increased temperatures leading to delays for rail service, increased flooding on roadways and bridges, and damage to transportation infrastructure and services caused by severe storms. MDOT understands the importance of investing in transportation projects that have climate benefits and is launching the Climate Focused Funding portal. This portal will support identification and implementation of these important projects.
This page will provide you with information and technical assistance for the Climate Focused Funding Portal, including information on the current solicitation, instructions on how to apply, and resources to support you in the identification and submission of your climate beneficial projects.
Wednesdays from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm during the solicitation window.
