MDOT OFFICIALS TO TAKE STATEWIDE TRANSPORTATION
TOUR TO ST. MARY'S COUNTY TUESDAY
 

WHO:             Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) Office of the Secretary and representatives from MDOT's business units will meet with St. Mary's County officials to discuss transportation investments. Representatives include: 

The Secretary's Office: Deputy Secretary Sean Powell;
MDOT Motor Vehicle Administration: Chief of Staff Katie McEvoy;
MDOT Maryland Transit Administration: Local Transit Support Director Travis Johnston;
MDOT Maryland Aviation Administration:  Regional Aviation Director Ashish Solanki;
MDOT State Highway Administration: Kimberly Tran; Acting District 5 Engineer; Maurice Agostino, Acting Deputy Administrator for Planning, Engineering, Real Estate and Environment; Andre Futrell, Deputy Administrator for District Operations; and
Maryland Transportation Authority: Capital Planning Director Melissa Williams. 

WHAT:           This is the 18th meeting in the MDOT tour of 23 Maryland counties and Baltimore City to update local officials and the public on the Hogan administration's Draft FY 2022-2027 Consolidated Transportation Program (CTP), which details MDOT's $16.4 billion six-year capital budget. Deputy Secretary Powell will outline the state's investments and join other state officials in answering questions about St. Mary's County's transportation priorities.

WHY:             Each fall, MDOT presents its draft six-year capital program to every county and Baltimore City for review and comment. MDOT then prepares a final budget to present to the General Assembly in January. The Hogan administration's six-year Draft FY 2022-2027 CTP invests $16.4 billion in Maryland's transportation network.
