WHAT:
The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT), in partnership with the City of Brunswick and the Maryland Historical Trust, will hold a historical marker unveiling ceremony. MDOT, state and local officials, historians and community members will honor the history and heritage of the Brunswick community. The ceremony will highlight the significance of both the C&O Canal and B&O Railroad to the development of the city and recognize community partners.

The ceremony will unveil a historical marker acknowledging the city’s history and its economic development associated with the C&O Canal and B&O Railroad. The event will feature remarks from state and local officials and MDOT guests will also be invited to join in the unveiling followed by photo opportunities.
