MVA OFFICES & VEIP STATIONS TO CLOSE IN OBSERVANCE OF FEDERAL HOLIDAY

Offices and VEIP Stations will reopen Tuesday, October 14

GLEN BURNIE, MD (October 9, 2025) - The Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) will close all branch offices and Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program (VEIP) stations on Monday, October 13, in observance of the Indigenous Peoples' Day holiday. Motor Vehicle Administration branch offices and VEIP testing will be open for normal operations on Tuesday, October 14. To schedule an appointment at an MVA branch, customers can visit the Appointment Scheduler here

Customers are encouraged to sign up for a myMVA online services account to access driver's license information, view and print vehicle registration, MVA correspondences, check vehicle emissions due dates, and more. Join more than two million customers that have already signed up for myMVA. The MVA 24-hour kiosks, self-service VEIP kiosks will be available during the holiday. 

Please note, on Monday, October 13, the Frederick self-service VEIP kiosk will be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled utility work. 

All MVA branch offices and VEIP stations are closed on dates in accordance with the state holiday calendar. A complete list of 2025 closings can be found here.
