Baltimore Transit

As Maryland's most populous city, Baltimore offers a variety of transit options. In addition to MDOT Maryland Transit Administration's Trip Planner tool, commuters may purchase various Transit Passes, receive transit email/text alerts, view and download transit service maps, access transit information for visitors, and read about current and pending transit projects. Finally for a more unique means of transit, the Baltimore Water Taxi has six routes to help commuters get in and around the Baltimore Inner Harbor and the recently-launched Baltimore Bikeshare offers power-assisted commuting on two wheels! Additional resources that can assist you with transportation alternatives include the Transportation Resource Information Point (TRIP) and for intercity bus service connecting rural communities throughout Maryland via MD travel link.

Washington Transit

As the nation's capital, Washington and the surrounding metro area provide a panoply of transit options. Visit the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) for a trip planner tool, a transit Smart Trip Card (which is also valid on Baltimore Transit), transit alerts, and many other options for your commute into, out of, and throughout the District of Columbia. Also learn more about WMATA SmartBenefits - a free way for employers to save thousands in payroll taxes while allowing employees to commute tax free in D.C, northern Virginia, and Southern Maryland.

Maryland commuters can choose from an array of statewide and local cutting-edge programs to ease the pain of commuting. And your employer might be able to help you save even more money with pre-tax benefits.
